Fall trends

A friend asked me to blog about the upcoming Fall trends. Since I don’t reside in the fashion capitals such as New York or LA, I rely on magazines and on-line fashion sites to keep me updated. Here are a few of my favorite trends that will be coming for fall. Some of which probably have seen in most clothing stores and on-line shopping sites. Let’s get ready to

Like many trends, fur comes back every fall/winter season. Why not, they make anything you wear feel luxe. And if you are like many who are against real fur, faux fur is just as good. You can find many high and low end designers creating faux fur clothing with amazing prices.

on runways:

on me:
Vintage leopard coat, $60
Guess over the knee boots, $120.00 guess stores

70’s fashion.
They say fashion repeats itself over and over again so of course like the 50’s and 80’s trend, 70’s fashion is back. This trend has already started since spring/summer but it is still making its way into many of today's designer pieces.  Think 70’s bohemian and/or 70’s sophisticated glamour. Whatever look you choose, you will sure make heads turn.

on me:
Vintage sheer top, $4.99
Heritage21 denim shorts, $24.95
Brown floppy hat, zara stores
Over the knee suede boots, found in a store in Treviso Italy

Bell bottoms & wide leg pants.

Wide leg pants and bell bottom pants are hot right now! And yes, this trend is being carried right into the autumn/fall fashion pieces.  With all the 70’s fashion, of course it is just inevitable that bell bottoms and wide leg pants will come with it. Wear it with platform heels/wedges/booties and you are ready to be runway worthy.

on runways:
wide leg pants

on me:

Vintage Benetton pants, $2.00
Sheer leopart top, $19.00 tjmaxx stores
Vintage taupe clutch, $3.00
Jessica simpson Maccao heels, macys stores

in magazines
bell bottoms

Like the bell bottoms and wide leg pants, pleats are big this spring/summer fashion. Like most of the spring trends, pleats are still going strong for fall. Pleats skirst/dresses can be worn in a romantic style with pumps and head pieces or you can toughen it up with boots and darker colors
This sheer, light weight fabric can be worn with layers and boots for warmer look.
On runways
On me in Romantic style:
Vintage Pleat LBD, $5.00 thrift store in OKC
Red Epi Leather 25, $1030.00
Faux suede qupid heels, $32.00
On me in tough girl look:
Metallic geo top, $14.90
Sheer green skirt, $44.00
Sam Edelman zoe boots, $190
Bronze quilted clutch, $19.00

Men’s wear.
If all else fail, go for the menswear fashion. This trend go hand in hand with boyfriend jackets, tuxedo look, vest, loose fitting jeans or pants & oxfords. They are easy to wear and very comfortable. So this trend, really is the best of both worlds;)
