New Etsy Items

I have new items on my Etsy store.
I love vintage and I know many people do as well. I think it's a budget fashionista's duty to share her love for vintage in affordable prices. The pieces I sell depends on how much I find the items. If you have any suggestions or want to see a certain size, please feel free to contact me at mylacelliott@gmail.com. Thanks.

Halloween weekend

I am a little late blogging about Halloween but since I posted this in my chictopia blog, might as well blog about it here.

This Halloween, we drove to Virginia Beach, VA to party with our favorite couple friends, Angie and Justin. They moved to VA this year and since we partied with them for Halloween 2010, we wanted continued our tradition this year. It was a two day party since Angie had her house party on Friday and we all went out Saturday. Our Friday costume, we decided to be a spider man family. We initially got our dog, Titan’s costume first so we revolve our costume around him. It was too cute not too. Lol  Since Angie’s party was on a Friday, we didn’t want to be costume-less on Saturday when we he hit the bars. I also didn’t want to spend a lot of money since we didn’t plan on having two costumes this year. So the husband and I brainstorm on what we can be for a cheap price and came up with a plan, a circus master and her circus freak. He went as a bearded lady and I his circus master. We went to a thrift store and put our costumes together for less than $100. Most of my costume was already in my closet so I really saved on having DIY costume. Hope you all enjoy the pictures.

Starry Bright

Star light .. star bright… first star, I see tonight.

Star prints are hot this fall! You can see these prints in many designer pieces and runaway shows. This time, they are in combined with delicate pieces such chiffon, lace, and designers are featuring them from flowing dresses, star printed trousers, star printed shoes and accessories. One of my favorite websites, www.shopnastygal.com came out with a similar star print dress for an affordable price. With it’s glittery gold print starts and asymmetrical hemlines, I had to get it.

Love/Hate

I have a love/hate relationship with one of my favorite sites, Asos.com.
I love them because they always have chic items at such affordable prices but I hate them because they tend to take all my money. Gaaaaaaaaaah. I can’t help it; everything is just too darn cute. I have blogged about this site before and I will blog about them again. They are my one stop shopping site. Their sites consist of clothing, shoes and accessories that vary from being sexy to chic to retro. Check them out and I can tell you, you will find something that will stand out in your closet.

My recent score from this website (Clockwise):
Rose Hair Garland - Purple head piece
River Island Bandeau Structured Dress
Hazel color Conscious Dress with Strappy Neck
Black Silk Mix Asymmetric Pleat & Ruffle Dress
Gunmetal Double Spike Through Finger Ring
TFNC Belted Chiffon Cut Out Dress

Olive exaggerated backless dress (Pending to be purchased)
