I love love love dresses. I have said it before and I will say it again, I will wear dresses all day, everyday, all season’s long. With dresses, you don’t have to make that much effort; just put on cute shoes, a jacket/blazer perhaps, and pile on the accessories.

Flirty 30

Part dos of my b-day celebration was them pink and gray flirty 30. I wanted everyone to wear pink and gray and go out partying with me to my favorite bar/club place Union Jacks. We lived close by so pre-partying was done at my house to get the night started.

I am loving asymmetrical hemlines right now that when I found the Blaque label dress for my anniversary in June, http://dessafashionlove.blogspot.com/2011/06/anniversary-dress.html, I knew I wanted to be wearing this same flowly & elegant dress for my b-day. The big 30

I still can’t believe I am 30. My my how fast time flies….

For my big 30, since it was a Wednesday, the hubby and I just had a small dinner at Cheesecake factory. I do love their pasta and tiramisu cheesecake-Yummy! He surprised me when I got home from a long day of work to a shopping spree. My choice of shopping place- forever 21.  They have the cutest basics and uber trendy pieces that are very affordable.

 I am having my 2 day b-day celebration this weekend. So yes, more pics to come. This coming Friday, I am doing a theme pink and gray and Saturday, I am hosting a pin-up theme party. Blogs will sure be posted.

DIY: Maxi fringe skirt

Fringe is everywhere this fall. It has that boho/tribal look that many of us love. So when I saw this maxi fringe skirt in one of my on-line shopping sites, I thought why not make it myself.

I believe some things you don't need to pay big bucks to get the look- this maxi fringe skirt was one of them.
Here are the steps I did to get my very own maxi fringe skirt...

1. Go to a thrift/vintage store and find a jersey maxi skirt in your color choice. Or you can go to your favorite cheap fashion store such as wetseal, forever21, charlotte rousse-one of these stores will eventually have them.
2. Turn the skirt inside out. This way you can get a stencil or any kind of pencil liner to line the areas in which you will becutting. (Lining the areas to cut can prevent uneven fringes)
3. Start cutting...This can be time consuming so be patient (unlike me) and make sure your fringes are cut evenly.
4. Make sure that the top portion of your fringes where the cut ends are even.

There you go.. such easy steps for your very own fringe skirt. Enjoy.

Since the weather is quickly changing, it is safe to say that fall is finally here. Well at least fall fashion is.
